The Autism Dialogue Approach Foundations Course:
Training for Therapists, Coaches & Healthcare Professionals
Now live: A new on-demand course for 2026
The Autism Dialogue Foundations course is a unique, online and on-demand training course for therapists, counsellors and healthcare professionals – as well as parents and teachers – designed to help you to develop creative thinking, strengthen relationships, and improve overall communication and collaboration across all diversities.
In this clip from the final section of the course, we explore trauma through a neurodivergent and dialogic lens, with particular attention to how autistic trauma is often shaped by relationships, systems, and repeated experiences of misunderstanding, correction, and pressure to conform.
Autism Dialogue Training:
Groups and Families
Our dynamic approach works to equalise power in relationships – by improving overall insight and communication – so you’ll learn to understand each other more and generate more insight together, thereby producing the best outcomes for all – a win-win situation!
The core aim of our experiential groupwork training is to support and empower Autistic and Neurodivergent people and their families. Recipients of our programmes benefit from our extensive knowledge and experience of Autism and Neurodiversity.
Through our Autism Dialogue workshop training, you will learn how to apply a set of simple practices to bridge understanding between different neurotypes and their modes of being.
Autism Dialogue Approach training applies empirically-based principles from the latest social science research in Autism and Neurodiversity, combined with current innovations in practice.
All our training is strengths-based, Autistic designed and is supported by over 50 years of cumulative experience shared between our trainers, as well as lifetimes of personal experience. We have been committed to empowering Autistic people and their families with Autism Dialogue for more than ten years.

Participant, The Autism Dialogue Approach Foundations Course
“Any training that can bring elements of lived experience is so vital to our roles as practitioners. This helps the helper to fully understand clients’ needs. Hearing from trainers with very personal connection to the material made it much more accessible and understandable“
Participant, Better Working with Autistic and Neurodivergent People using the Autism Dialogue Approach (Workshop)
“I wish this training had been part of my counselling training. My training did not equip me to work with neuro-diverse people; instead it prepared me to perceive all my clients through a neuro-normative lens.“
Participant, Better Working with Autistic and Neurodivergent People using the Autism Dialogue Approach (Workshop)
