This month Jonathan was a guest on the podcast Lost in Language, in a thought provoking conversation around Bohm Dialogue and Autism Dialogue.
Hosted by Jessica Ball, facilitator and founder of Creating Meaning, the podcast aims to shine a light on communication approaches that can help improve how we communicate and relate to ourselves, each other and the world around us. Jessica writes, “Each approach is helping us get to the meaning beyond the words. So, instead of ignoring, dismissing, arguing and cancelling each other, we can get curious, create empathy and improve understanding; whilst also developing skills that can help us think together in creative and generative ways.”
Series two of the Lost in Language podcast is a deep dive into Bohm Dialogue. Driven by his deep interest in understanding human nature, David Bohm brought people together in dialogue to explore aspects of human consciousness, at the individual, collective and cosmic level. Bohm believed that by coming together to share meaning, we can create new thinking together. Read about the speakers (Hester Reeve, Beth Macy, Lee Nichol and Jonathan Drury) here.

“Societal breakdown which we see occurs when surface level or explicit divisions dominate consciousness and obscure the deeper inter-connectedness that unites humanity. So autism, which often involves challenges in communication, social interaction and perception, might be understood as a different way of accessing or processing the implicate order” – Jonny Drury
